Jungle

I did this piece a couple years ago in a class. It was for a Los Angeles Times Magazine article about a young kid in South Los Angeles trying to free himself from the gang life.

This is a strong image, and even without your explanation, I would have understood what it's saying. His face has such expression, and the rough textures adds to the feeling of his difficult life. Very nice!
